Estonia

One day (more than a year ago) I realized that the colour pattern of MONO erasers kind of resemble like that of the Estonian Flag,
so I drew a picture of a mixture of the two and upload it to dA.
On the next day, I received a comment from an Estonian, who asked why I "even know the country",
and I replied to him that I learnt about it in history lessons that the country is one of those which gained independence after WWI.
Actually I was a bit surprised because I remembered that during that lessson,
one of my classmates asked something like "what/where Estonia is"
and then the teacher replied "it's general knowledge" with a how-dare-you-not-knowing-it expression on his face.
Anyway, the blabbering ends here.

Handmade Postcards Dump - Beaches

Recently I saw a user profile on Postcrossing that he/she does not prefer handmade postcards because the user believes that if he/she has the time to buy postcard, so does most of the other users.
I was a bit confused because making postcards is far more time-consuming than to go to the local bookstore or souvenir store buying postcard. Some people, like I do, make postcards as their hobbies for simple pleasure but not because of some reason like convenience.
Anyway, every one has their personal preference......

This first one was taken near my home while the rest were taken during picnic by my family.
These are more like photos than postcards......

Moomins

Received from Finland on 23 Jul, 2009.
I wonder why Moomintroll looks so sad in this postcard.

Recently I have been reading the Moomin novels.
There was a full set of Moomin books in the library at my alma mater but I never got to read them at that time.
Compared with the Japanese animation version,
I like the original novel of Moomin better.
In the former version there is a little bit too much stress on the heartwarming parts and moral,
while the novel is less "typical" as a children's story.
